Kota Miki's furniture and wood works.
コンロン・ナンカロウは1912年にアメリカで生まれ、後にメキシコに移り、
非常に独特な方法で作曲を続けた作曲家です。
Conlon Nancarrow is composer who was
born in America,
later he moved and lived in
Mexco.
And he continued his musical works
by very uniqe way.
この椅子は彼に捧げるつもりで1997年５月から６月にかけて制作したものです。
背の棒は彼の作品の中でも私が一番好きな
プレイヤーピアノのための習作Ｎｏ.７の一部に使われている
３：４：５
という比率をもとに配置しました。
残念ながら彼は1997年8月に亡くなったそうなので、
（このことを私が知ったのは、不覚にも、10月でした。）
いつか彼に座ってもらいたいという私の夢は
実現しませんでした。
From May 1998 to June,I made this
high back chair as a tribute for him
with my deep respect for his life
and works.
I arranged this chair's back bars by

based on one of part of his "Study
for Player Piano Nos.7."
But I was shocked to hear the news,
regrettably, he died Aug.1997,
I heard this news October.
My dream, someday he would sit down
my chair
has been shattered.
